LEECHER

Directed By: Yonatan Weinstein | Runtime: 13 min | Plays In Short Block: Mystery Thriller 1

A striking NYU short thesis film, LEECHER tells the story of Dr. Adam Leecher, an ambitious research scientist who has developed a vaccine for an evolving parasite that affects women only. Adam believes so blindly in the efficacy of his treatment that, even when facing a seeming dead-end, he won’t give up until he can take it to the next level.
This Israeli-American co-production stars Australian actor Richard Stables (whose film ‘Lily’ won the Crystal Bear for Best Short at the 2011 Berlin Festival) and Adi Ezroni (whose notable credits include ‘Prisoners of War’, the Israeli show that brought us HOMELAND), and was lensed by lensed by LA-based Cinematographer Roi Vissel (a recent AFI Graduate whose credits include ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘TYRANT’).
