Directed By: Hannah Christensen | Runtime: 10 min | Plays In Short Block: Twisted Comedy
Marlow is a young orphan boy. He is recruited by an agency and is placed in criminal families where he formulates a way to kill them. He meets with his handler after each mission and as he continues to get new assignments and new targets, he is seen awkwardly trying to make friends and figure out who he is.
One day, his agency presents a confidential file to him and, upon arriving to the home of his new family, he discovers something that changes his life. Smiling at him in the doorway are his birth parents. Later that night, he pulls out an old, wrinkled photo of them and begins to contemplate if he wants to kill them or become one of them.
As days go by, his handler reaches out to him, questioning why it is taking him so long to go through with the killing. He makes up an excuse as he continues to romanticize the idea of what his family could be. Finally, he makes up his mind. However, another orphan assassin is brought into the picture and Marlow is faced with even more decisions than what he started with. What will he decide?
