The two year journey of young man whose dream is to become a Division I college quarterback. From Charlotte, North Carolina, Cody Keith is the son of a wealthy family who becomes the center of a very heated social discussion on the ethics of transferring high schools for athletic purposes - an argument where it seemed there was no middle ground. The family unwillingly becomes a target of media attention that soon spirals out of control. The family is approached by a private quarterback coach who convinces them to move to Los Angeles, where Cody will have one last shot at earning a Division I college football scholarship under his supervision. But after a horrific start to the season, the quarterback coach disappears and leaves them very much alone. Surrounded by the increasing pressure and the media scrutiny that follows him to LA - Cody finds himself on a personal journey of self discovery. He realizes that playing the game for himself is the only way to achieve his dreams, and soon after becomes one of the top recruits in the nation - breaking records at every level of football.
