Short Film Program # 18 – Strong Women
grace in SARA - A 10 year-old girl comes to terms with her parents' breakup and her mother leaving home with the help of a creative therapist and the songs of her favorite rocker chick.
'Women' depicts the age-old dilemma of the feminine role is society. Set in a beautiful nether-France, two exquisite young ladies argue the merits of conforming to society's idea of femininity versus what women might do if they made their own rules. Sexy and Violent! Colette and Delphine, the closest of friends, vehemently disagree on the rules of female behavior, ending in a bloody gun fight. The survivor wins the right to be the dominant personality in what we discover has been an internal battle between two distinct personalities fighting for control of the one body they inhabit. Sexy, fun, beautifully shot in black & white. Directed by: Ashley Scott
Perhaps Tomorrow - Annie has detached herself from her friends and her work, and seems desperate to find a connection with a world other than her own. She thinks there is only one path to resolution, but unexpectedly, her daily lunch routine becomes the key to making peace with the ghosts of her past. Directed by: Sandy Garfunkel
